1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using GrowthPath ("the App", "the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and GrowthPath.

If you are using the app on behalf of a church or organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these terms.

2. Description of Service

GrowthPath is a discipleship tracking application that enables churches to:

• Track spiritual disciplines including devotion, Bible reading, and prayer
• Connect disciples with disciplers within a church community
• Facilitate communication between church members
• Generate AI-powered spiritual insights and growth reports
• Track growth progress through the Spiritometer (SM) system
• Access the King James Version Bible

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Service at any time with reasonable notice.

3. Eligibility

To use GrowthPath, you must:

• Be at least 13 years of age
• Have a valid phone number capable of receiving SMS
• Be invited by or joining a registered church on the platform
• Agree to these Terms of Service

Users between 13 and 17 years old should have parental awareness and consent before using the app.

4. User Accounts

Your account is created using your phone number and authenticated via one-time password (OTP). You are responsible for:

• Keeping your phone number and OTP codes secure and private
• All activity that occurs under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account
• Ensuring your account information is accurate and up to date

5. Acceptable Use

You agree to use GrowthPath only for its intended purpose as a faith and discipleship tool. You must not:

• Use the app to harass, threaten, or abuse other users
• Share content that is offensive, discriminatory, or inappropriate
• Post false or misleading information about yourself or others
• Attempt to access accounts or data that are not yours
• Reverse engineer, copy, or reproduce any part of the application
• Use the app for commercial purposes without our written consent
• Use automated tools to access or scrape the Service

6. Church Administrator Responsibilities

If you register a church on GrowthPath and serve as an administrator, you take on additional responsibilities:

• You are responsible for the appropriate use of the platform by your church members
• You must ensure members are aware of these Terms and our Privacy Policy
• You are responsible for appropriately assigning disciplers and members
• You must not use member data for purposes outside the app's intended use
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your church's admin account

7. User Content

You retain ownership of any content you create within GrowthPath, including reflection notes, messages, and other personal entries.

By using the app, you grant GrowthPath a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, display, and process your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

8. AI Features

GrowthPath uses Claude AI (Anthropic) to provide spiritual insights. By using AI features, you acknowledge:

• AI-generated content is for spiritual encouragement only and does not constitute professional counselling or pastoral guidance
• AI insights may not always be accurate or appropriate for your specific situation
• Your reflection text is sent to Anthropic for processing in accordance with their terms
• You should exercise your own spiritual discernment when reading AI insights

9. Intellectual Property

The GrowthPath application, including its design, code, graphics, features, and branding, is owned by GrowthPath and protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. The King James Version (KJV) Bible text is in the public domain.

10. Termination

You may stop using GrowthPath at any time. To delete your account, contact us at hello@growthpath.app.

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, your conduct is harmful to other users, or we are required to do so by law.

11. Disclaimers

GrowthPath is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or meet your specific requirements.

GrowthPath is a spiritual growth tool and is not a substitute for professional counselling, pastoral care, or theological guidance.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, GrowthPath and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes through the app and by updating the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of GrowthPath after changes constitutes acceptance.
